This is a project the Foundation is working on together with the Rotary Club of Bukoto (RCB). The Rotary Club of Bukoto has always front-led in community activities, especially the ones that benefit vulnerable citizens like mothers and children, the elderly and people with disabilities in order to give them a chance to live normal, healthy and beneficial lives.
Background
The Late Robinah and Abram Lutaya had gone there to pray on Sunday and they found that the church was under a tree. This touched them and they built a Church through fundraising from friends and family. Subsequently, the residents of Kabutemba requested that the young kids stay away from the church as they had to walk miles to go to the nearest schools. The parents worried that the kids had to walk early morning and they faced a lot of risks on the journey to and from the school. The Late Robinah Lutaya pitched the idea of developing the school the the then President of RCB Hon. Sebalu, who kick-started the project. Over the years almost all other residents of RCB have continued with the mantle including PP Yohannes, PP Micheal Opira, PP Moses, PP Gloria, PP Edith Mujwisa, PP Edith, PP Grace Mulindwa, PP Lady, now President…. And not forgetting the Rotaractors of Bukoto.
After that, the residents asked for the health center. And currently in the process of constructing it as I am finishing school too.
LDRF partners with RCB for better development. Currently, these are projects/programs:
